Hi-lo everyone! I haven't updated it a long time. Moving out went well, and I've been living on my own for over 6 months now. :) I also have a wonderful greyhound named Abbey. Boyfriend and I are going on 3 years this month, and still doing very well. xD

SO now that the update is over. I got a mini-gallery opportunity at a local Starbucks©. :) They want me to hang some of my artwork (still not sure how many pieces) and put them up for sale. xD I'm PUMPED. So I need to narrow it down to a few pieces...anyone can feel free to help me with that one :)

Also, I have had the opportunity over the last 6 months or so to get to know and incredible photographer named Tom Feisel. He is the photographer for new age foto ([link]). Really, really fabulous guy and one of the most talented wedding photographers I've ever seen. Well, he has given me the opportunity to work with him while I am on break over the winter. My first job is assisting an all day photoshoot this Friday. I can't wait to help out and learn! I've become incredibly interested in photography over the past 2 years, and this is one amazing opportunity.

So that's it. Basically, I feel like I'm really making progress. My artwork has really been growing, and I feel myself becoming more detail oriented and particular, while not losing the feeling behind my pieces. College does wonderful things. :)

I am officially movingo out today! Hopefully now I will have more time to work on my own art. School has been rediculously hard this quarter. Visual Communications II is kicking my butt. As is symbolic Logic...but that's probably my favorite class :). Maybe I will upload some of my work from that class. Who knows. I've been trying to only upload my quality work to here. My piece "Letting Go" is probably my favorite piece I've done in a long time. I still miss my horse and incredible amount. It breaks my heart to know we didn't get to say goodbye. But anyway,
I should be able to start uploading more. My boyfriend may be working in cincinati for the summer, so I'm going to have a lot of free time. And since I'm not riding anymore, I'm going to need to find something to do. Also, I'm adopting a greyhound in the next few weeks!! :) This will my first dog. I've had dogs with my family, but this will be MY first dog. I'm pretty excited about it. I'll put pictures up once I get him. Anyway, just wanted to throw an update.
ALSO I suggest you check out the contest Entries for the Okami for the Wii contest. Some truly fantastic art in there!! ---> [link]

Til later

What a tough year this will be. My Visual Communications class is nuts! But I can't wait to learn all of the nonesense I need to know about graphic design. The first 3 weeks are apparently all hand drawing typography. WOO! Maddness.....
Anyway, the job is going well. I find myself more consistently making things on here again which is good.
Things are looking up. I need to find a way to get myself more exposed.
:)

I am now the official Communications Coordinator at my church. :) It pays quite well for being a student, and it's going to look AMAZING on my resumee. woooo!
They are all really amazing people, and they're going to give me a great jump start. I get to have practically free reign over my designs for posters and power point slides and what not. So I'll get to explore a little. I'm so excited. WOOT!

Sorry. I may be a little toooo excited ;).

I have entered two contests for the first time in a long time. I had almost given up on them, seeing as I have never even been in the top 10 of a contest. SO therefore, I gave myself a kick in the butt and entered not just one contest, BUT TWO!

The first is for the Anti-Cliche Contest. This contest is very interesting and I suggest you check it out!

The second is one I have been staring down for a while, but the first entry ([link]) was so good I was a little intimidated. I'm almost positive I won't win that one, but it was a very moving piece to do. I suggest you all check out both contests, and read =karemelancholia's story that the contest is based on. :) [link]

*MUAH!

I am suprised I am still up and working on all of this. I went home sick from work today. Pretty intense stomach pains+me too stubborn to go to the doctor=never a good thing. But all is well. I didn't move for about 4 hours until the pain went down so I should be fine by tomorrow. :)
Also, I may be getting a job as a communications leader at my church....an actual PAYING job. So that would give me quite a kick in the direction I need to be heading. Who knows, maybe miss free floating artist will work for someone else one day. Thought I despise the thought. Who knows. :)
